• Water bottle (square one is best)

• 1 straw

• 1 bamboo skewer

• Scissors

• 4 plastic caps

• 4 pony beads

• Glue gun or other glue

• Duct tape

• Vinegar

• Baking soda

• Tissue paper

Alpha science classroom: How to Build the Chemical Reaction Car

Step 1: Kids need to warm up the glue gun. caveat! The glue gun is very hot and requires adult supervision! If necessary, other glues can be used.

Step 2: Children carefully insert the hot tip of the glue gun into the center of the water bottle cap and melt a hole in it.

Step 3: Children cut the paper straw in half, and then use scissors to cut the bamboo into two pieces, which are 1 inch longer than the straw.

Step 4: For each wheel, glue the pony beads to the center of the wheel.

Put some glue in the middle of the pony beads, and then insert one end of the bamboo.

Step 5: Children insert the bamboo into the paper straw, and then glue the other end of the bamboo glue to another wheel.

Step 6: Children repeat steps 4 and 5 with the second axis.
